Dreams merge with reality and the imagined begins to overwhelm the actual.
When I least expect it, and at all hours, I find myself nodding off. In the intervals of sleep, intense dreams full of characters and voices impose themselves on me. Waking, the world around me shifts in disconcerting ways. Momentarily, as dreams seep into everyday life, doors appear to open, walls seem see through; the characters that populate my dreams appear as ghosts almost tangibly present in my conscious life.
