Send me out
Down the road
Toward the hills
Leave me this choking haze behind
Once out from between these houses
The air spreads
You notice it at once
A freshness fills you
Strap me to the pick-up's bed
Face up
Wide-eyed at the sight of trees sailing by
Foaming at the grin to live this life down the road
Heat-stricken
Ignoring exhaustion as the travelling breeze cools me
Something scribbled down in a notebook on September 15th last year, my second day in Pingtung.
